The Supporting Women of Real Estate Grant Program is Now Open!

Women’s Council of REALTORS® would like to announce that the 2024 Supporting Women of Real Estate Grant is now OPEN! We invite REALTOR® Associations to apply. The grant provides local and state REALTOR® associations with the opportunity to receive funding to provide new and innovative programs focused on advancing women in the real estate industry. The goal of this program is to inspire women professionals to take on greater leadership roles in both business and organized real estate. This year, 5 grants of $2,000 each will be awarded to state & local associations.

Launched in 2019, the Supporting Women of Real Estate Grant aligns with Women’s Council’s mission of advancing women as business leaders in the industry and in the communities members serve. This partnership between NAR and Women’s Council is funded by The Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD). CRD is a division of NAR, devoted to lifelong learning, career advancement, and specialized credentials for real estate professionals.

From its inception in 2019, the Supporting Women in Real Estate Grant has been awarded to 42 REALTOR® Associations with $125,000 invested in women-focused leadership education. Grant recipients from around the country have produced a wide range of events, from the Idaho REALTORS® 2019 program Owning It to the Richmond Association of REALTORS® Purpose and Strength workshop in 2023. In a follow-up survey after offering Leading and Living with Intent in 2024 for the Sierra Nevada REALTORS®, Katie Fletcher responded, “Offering this program strengthened the relationship between the local Women’s Council network and the association.” The benefits, Katie replied, “Women’s Council increased members in their network, we impacted new agents by helping them understand the path towards leadership, along with networking among members to build their circle of support.”

As a Women’s Council leader, your role is pivotal in fostering collaboration and advocating for initiatives, like this, that empower women in real estate. We encourage you to engage with your local or state association, informing them about the grant. This is an opportunity for your network to partner with the local association and strategize for a program later in the year, dedicated to women’s leadership development. By promoting such efforts, you contribute significantly to the advancement and support of women in the real estate industry.
