2024 Midyear Meeting Brief Recap

Thank you to those who were able to join us at the Midyear Meeting! We were thrilled to see so many of you in Washington, D.C. Here is a quick recap for those who could not make it: 

  1. All of our Bylaws changes were approved. Minutes will be posted to the website soon. Bylaws changes will not go into effect until we get approval at the NAR BOD in November. 
     
  2. The executive committee approved recommendations from the Presidential Advisory Group on the Campaign Rules and Candidate Credentialing process. Additional details will be communicated soon and will only impact national candidate campaigning for the current election cycle. 
    NOTE: National position descriptions will be posted very soon and will apply to the current election process for 2026 National Candidates at Women's Council.
  3. The executive committee approved a request for reserve funds that will finance two connected projects based on a recommendation from our Tech Investment Committee. One is the migration to RAMCO as a new database. The other is money to rebuild wcr.org

  4. The following members were elected into national leadership positions

2025 State Liaison Reporting Form

The deadline for 2025 state liaison reporting is June 1, 2024. Report state leaders here.

Incoming State Liaisons should plan on attending the Network 360 Leadership Conference in Chicago on August 14-16, 2024.

 

2026 Leadership Team Officers & Elected Positions Process

Our application process to be part of the 2026 Leadership Team or an elected position is open until June 30, 2024. We encourage interested members to carefully review updated National Job Descriptions in the Network Glossary. We look forward to collaborating with leaders who are dedicated to the Mission & Vision of Women's Council and are eager to further develop the professional advancement of women in the industry.

National Volunteers for 2025

Encourage your members to fill out the Leadership Identification & Development application for 2025. Everyone received this article in Council Corner eNews with the details, but we encourage you as a leader to re-share as the deadline approaches. The application period ends on May 31, 2024. 

 

2024 Supporting Women of Real Estate Grant Program Details

The National Association of REALTORS® and the Women’s Council of REALTORS® have teamed up to offer a grant for local and state REALTOR® associations that host a one-day conference dedicated to women in real estate. The goal is simple yet powerful: to inspire women professionals to embrace leadership roles within both their businesses and the organized real estate community.

How you can help as a Women's Council leader:

  • Encourage your local REALTOR® associations to apply for the grant.
  • Offer to collaborate on program development to showcase the synergy between Women's Council and REALTOR® associations.
  • Spread the word and rally support for initiatives that promote women's leadership in real estate.

The application period ends on June 14, 2024.

On Saturday, May 18, 2024, Billhighway is performing scheduled maintenance that will impact the availability of integrated services. During this maintenance window, access to Billhighway will be temporarily unavailable for all internal and external users.

Maintenance Details: 

  • Date: May 18, 2024 
  • Time: 8 am to 4 pm Eastern 
  • Duration: Approximately 8 hours 
  • Purpose: Improve performance and reliability

Please note that after the scheduled maintenance is completed, any services disrupted, including member and status syncs, will be backdated from the time offline.

This year-long program develops leaders who have demonstrated leadership potential through their local and state networks, with the goal of creating a network of industry experts across the country who are actively involved in improving our Council. The application period is from June 3 to July 8. Candidates are chosen in August and the program is for the 2025 calendar year. Click here for more information.
