Our Relationship with NAR

Women’s Council of REALTORS® is a proud affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS® with an 80+ year history of partnership and collaboration. The organization seeks to complement not compete with NAR and its affiliated local and state associations.

New Membership FAQs

Founded in 1938, Women’s Council is a nationwide community of 13,000 real estate professionals who include many of the best and brightest in the business. The backbone of the Council is its network of more than 250 local and state networks in nearly 40 states with volunteer managers trained to position their groups as a business resource in their REALTOR® communities. The Women’s Council of REALTORS® is a vibrant community of women leaders in the real estate industry. We focus on advancing women through education and development opportunities, networking and unrivaled culture and events. Membership in the Women’s Council is highly valued by our members and the industry.

1. REALTOR® Membership -This is the most common membership type. REALTOR® Membership holders must be a dues paying member in good standing with the National Associations of REALTORS® (NAR).

2. National Affiliate Membership-This group of members are individuals who work in industries of real estate such as but not limited to mortgage brokers, appraisers, and title companies. National Affiliate members hold membership in their Local REALTOR® Association within the geographic territory of the Network, or if no such membership is available within the Local Association, then the individual shall hold membership within the State Association, but they may not be REALTORS®.

Go to www.wcr.org and click on “Join Now” at the top right of the page, complete the online application form. You will be able to process your payment to join directly on the site. Once you have joined, you will receive a follow up email to confirm your membership. If you are unable to join online, our printable PDF is also available.

Please visit the Find a Network section at wcr.org. You can search and find networks either by name of the network or by looking up the state you reside in to view all the networks in the state.

All events added by the networks are listed in the Event Calendar on wcr.org. Click on “Network Events” at the top of the page. You can then search the calendar by state, network, and month the event is held in.
